A one day course to enable staff to manage their own risks associated with working alone either on or off site.

Course Overview

Each course is tailored to the needs of individual clients, but most course will include the following elements:
  • Recognising & assessing risks of working alone 
    • Working in the Community
    • Working in Isolated sites
    • High Risk Settings
    • Isolated in Buildings
  • Essential Safety Procedures for Lone Workers
    • Log out/in Procedures
    • Pre-visit checks (Caution before contact registers)
  • Dynamic Risk Assessment
  • Personal safety 
    • Travelling by car, Public Transport, cycle or on foot
    • Reactions to aggressive animals
  • Situational awareness, positioning and disengagements Techniques (optional)
