Managing Mental Health

This workshop will enable delegates to positively support and manage staff who are experiencing mental ill health. The focus of the course will be on practical ways to manage and support positive mental well-being for all staff including employees who are experiencing stress and distress.

Course Overview

Each course is tailored to the needs of individual clients, but most course will include the following elements:
  • Promoting well-being in the workplace
  • The law relating to mental health in the workplace
  • Identifying the early warning signs of an employee experiencing mental ill health
  • Early steps – monitoring and talking early about mental well-being issues
  • Managing an on-going mental health related illness at work
  • Best practice in keeping in touch during sickness absence
  • Returning to work and making ‘reasonable adjustments’ 
  • Your model for speaking to employees experiencing mental ill health
